Signs of a Hyundai battery fault
A slow start does not mean the battery is finished. Charging, a drain and the battery are measured separately.

The sign
A slow crank or a dim display on the first start is noted.
Leaving the lights on is not the same fault as a charging alternator.
The measurement
Battery voltage, the drop while cranking and the charging voltage are checked separately.
One voltage threshold is not written from this page for every car.
A parasitic drain
The battery is not replaced before the current drawn after the car sleeps is measured.
A new battery does not cure a drain.
Replacement
If the battery is to be replaced, the case size and terminal direction are confirmed on the car.
Start-stop or smart charging is written on the booking if it applies. It is not assumed.
